The Chorus of the Forest

The home of Kit and the very large beast.

Kit and the Very Large Beast are living in the Fontenelle

Forest as a permanent sculpture created by sculptor

Kirk Vaughn-Robinson.  The sculpture was unveiled

in October of 2013 and is located at the first turn on the mile

long board walk just outside of the Great Hall at the Fontenelle Forest.

The sculpture was commissioned by the Fontenelle Forest as part of the Smithsonian sponsored Green Revolution which seeks to bring awareness of how to lower our individual and collective carbon footprint while also bringing awareness about different and creative uses of recycled, reclaimed and up-cycled products.

Kit and the Very Large Beast sculpture is made from recycled and reclaimed bicycle tire treads and inner tubes.

Along with two other commissioned sculptures made out of other recycled and up-cycled products, Vaughn-Robinson is honored that these three sculptural installations will have their permanent home at the Fontenelle Forest.
